Ogemaw Arenac Amateur Radio Society Field Day
On June 22 and 23, 2013, The Ogemaw Arenac Amateur Radio Society will participate in Field Day activities sponsored by the American Radio Relay League. This annual event tests the emergency preparedness of “ham radio” operators, who contact other operators throughout theUnited States.
This event is open to the public and visitors are welcome. The site for this year’s event isGeorgeSmarPark, located on Rifle River Trail inMillsTownship. Members of the club set up their equipment at 10 AM on the Saturday, June 22 nd, and can begin transmitting at 2 PM. This continues for 24 hrs, until2 PMon Sunday.
